Hi there, I’m Zack!
Every morning growing up, I went outside and grabbed the morning newspaper because I loved reading the San Francisco Chronicle’s sports section. I wanted to know about the day-to-day of Giants baseball. I could recite all the stats and standings from that day. I fell in love with reporting and becoming a reporter was my goal. After undergrad, I covered breaking news and local sports but it didn’t take long to realize that the industry was changing and I pivoted to digital storytelling. More than a decade later, I have led and created award-winning digital marketing and communication efforts in professional and collegiate sports, higher education, public transit, and the beer industry.
I also host the Unofficial WCC Hoops Podcast, where I chat about West Coast Conference men’s basketball and my favorite team, the Saint Mary’s Gaels.
When I am not on the job, you can find me at a sporting event, watching the latest comic or Star Trek related shows/movies, or at local brewery.
